Roald Dahl Day

How exciting,when i was browsing my emails i spotted one from penguin informing me that this Friday - yes the 13th will be a mischievous one, and a day of celebration all about Roald Dahl, so i wanted to get involved, it may be small scale- and not so full of mayhem but hey -i love Roald Dahl!
Firstly, head over to Penguins site for some discounts on some books which can be found here
using the code RoaldDahlDay at checkout
The Magic Finger
The Gregg family loves hunting, but their eight-year-old neighbor can't stand it. After countless pleas for them to stop are ignored, she has no other choice -- she has to put her magic finger on them. Now the Greggs are a family of birds, and like it or not, they're going to find out how it feels to be on the other end of the gun.

As a child, this was hands down my favourite Roald book, it wasnt everyones choice, in fact i had alot of friends who never even read it. For me, it was cheeky, and full of revenge, as well as that, it was short, meaning i could read it over and over.
As an adult i proudly own Roald Dahl Treasury and is something i intend on keeping for my own family one day so they too can enjoy the magic of Roald Dahl.

For me , these books were often cheeky, funny and naughty, something i am not - nor ever was, it gave me chance to escape into a world of mayhem that i would never enter, instead something i can observe from a far. So, i leave you with this;
